Seller Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can sell any UI templates you have created and own the rights to, within any supported Modula Market, so long as they do not infringe on other templates or violate our marketplace policies. Your Modula Market template should provide an isolated UI feature, function or layout; Modula Market will not publish fully fledged apps, or templates with many unrelated features and functions bundled in.

  • Yes, you can sell templates that you've posted on other platforms, as long as they are your original work and don't violate any other platform's terms of service. Make sure that the template is not sold in a way that would create conflicts, like offering it under a different license or in a significantly modified form elsewhere.

  • To upload a template, simply log into your seller account, navigate to the 'Upload' section, and follow the prompts to provide details about your template, upload the code files, and set your price. To help buyers understand its functionality we require a 'Sample Usage' that describes the implementation options of your template, a thorough README.md documenting your package and it's dependencies, a screen recording illustrating your template in a polished format (can be of a published app and include features not in your package), and a secondary screen recording of your packaged demo code in action. Package instructions will be provided via the Seller portal.

  • You are free to set your own price for each template. Consider factors like the complexity of the template, the market demand, and the quality of the code when determining a fair price. Be aware that extremely low or high pricing may impact your sales. Modula Market limit all templates to a maximum of $20 USD.

  • If we receive a valid copyright infringement claim, we will investigate the issue and take appropriate action. This could include removing the infringing template from the marketplace, suspending or banning the seller, and potentially facing legal consequences. We recommend only uploading templates that are 100% your own work or that you have the necessary rights to distribute.

  • You can modify a template, but you must ensure that the changes are significant enough to make it an original work and not a derivative or infringing copy. Simply tweaking a few lines of code or changing superficial elements does not constitute a new template. Always aim to add substantial value through your changes.

  • Payments are processed through our platform using secure payment gateways. You will receive your earnings on a monthly basis, or according to the payment cycle set up on your account. Payment methods may include bank transfer, PayPal, or other available options.

  • Yes, templates must comply with our content policy. This means no malicious code, illegal content, adult material, or anything that could harm users or violate privacy rights. Templates should also minimise reliance on third-party libraries and assets, and minimise any requirments to modify project-level configurations. If any dispute should arise due to licensing non-compliance, a sellers account may be restricted temporarily, or disabled completely, at the discretion of Modula Market.

  • No, please contact us if this is of interest to you.

  • While it's impossible to completely prevent copying, you can include unique branding or watermarks in your documentation, provide comprehensive usage terms, and monitor the marketplace for any potential infringements. If you believe someone has stolen your template, report it to us immediately.

  • Yes, you can offer updates to your templates. It's a good practice to release updates periodically or when necessary (for bug fixes or compatibility updates). Buyers who purchased your template will be able to download the latest version at no extra charge.

  • We recommend that you clearly specify the platforms, frameworks, and technologies your template is compatible with in your product dependency description. If your template has compatibility issues with specific platforms, be transparent about that, and offer potential solutions or guidance for users.

  • Negative reviews are part of the marketplace environment. If you receive a negative review, we encourage you to respond professionally and try to resolve the buyer's issues. If the review violates our community guidelines (e.g., it's abusive or fraudulent), you can report it to us for review and possible removal.

  • If you suspect another user is violating marketplace terms (e.g., by selling stolen templates, using malicious code, etc.), please report it to us immediately. We take these matters seriously and will investigate and take appropriate action based on the severity of the violation.
